Parent & Volunteer Led Club

Kingsbury Aquarius runs because parents and volunteers step in, share skills, and support every swimmer on poolside and behind the scenes. You do not need loads of spare time or a swimming background to help.

Why Volunteers Matter

Every session, gala entry, safeguarding check, membership update, and fundraising event is supported by volunteers. When parents get involved, swimmers get more opportunities, better race experiences, and a stronger team culture.

Available Positions

Committee Roles

Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership support. Help steer the club, keep communication flowing, and make sure operations run smoothly.

Welfare & Safeguarding Support

Work with the Welfare Officer to keep best practice strong, support safe environments, and signpost families when concerns arise.

Team Managers

Support swimmers at meets by organising sign-in, session flow, and communication so race days stay calm and positive.

Officials & Timekeepers

Train to assist with timings and officiating. These roles are essential for hosting and attending licensed competitions.

Poolside Helpers

Assist coaches and teachers with practical support in sessions, especially for younger swimmers developing confidence.

Events & Fundraising

Help run social events, raffles, and club activities that keep membership costs down and community spirit high.

Media & Communications

Support newsletters, updates, photography permissions, and social media content so families stay informed and connected.

Trials & New Member Welcome

Help new families settle in by answering questions, guiding trial logistics, and making first impressions warm and clear.

How Much Time Can You Give?

Occasional

Help once a term at a gala, fundraiser, or social event.

Regular

Take a monthly role such as team manager support, admin help, or communications.

Lead Role

Take ownership of a committee or operations role with support, handover, and guidance from current volunteers.
